Not strictly a Flex nib, in the traditional sense; rather, think of this as a soft(er) nib - that is, softer than a standard JoWo 14k nib, which can feel almost as hard as the steel variant! Those shoulder cutouts allow the forward half of the nib to bend a little more, making the nib feel bouncier, with some additional line variation on offer, too. As to the latter, an Extra Fine tip (which initially feels scratchy, until bedded in) will allow you to exploit the maximum available, but don't spring the nib by pushing it too far, and it all works best if paired with an ebonite feed. Expect to be checking tine alignment more often, also. Finally, thanks again to Vince at The Turners' Workshop (JoWo's official UK importer) for his courteous assistance.

I kidda look for pens that will be able to accept the jowo#6. Most of my pens that can accept a jowo #6 has been replaced with it. The quality and consistency is top notch.
